Located in southern California, Sierra Dachshund Breeders Club is a Not-For-Profit 501(c)(7) breeder club that actively holds two to four AKC Specialties, up to four AKC Field Trials and two AKC Earthdog events annually.
Our club's primary objective is to promote the popularity and best interest of the Dachshund; to foster, encourage and promote responsible ownership, breeding, raising, training and exhibiting of Dachshunds; to authorize and hold AKC sanctioned specialty shows, matches field trials and earthdog events; to promote honorable conduct both in the ring and elsewhere, to promote free exchange of ideas between breeders.
Our Annual Specialties are held every October, on the SECOND weekend, at Canyon RV Park in Anaheim. This is a wonderful outdoor venue with green grass and plenty of trees for shade. Beginning in 2027, we are adding 2 more Specialties! An Independent Specialty on Friday, January 8, 2027 and a Concurrent Specialty on Saturday, January 9, 2027 with Kennel Club of Palm Springs. This is held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. We are excited to start this new working relationship with KCPS! See SPECIALTY SHOWS for more detailed information.
Club meetings: ANNUAL CLUB meeting is held in the month of January.
GENERAL club meetings are held every other month.
Next meeting is scheduled for Sunday, July 12, 2026 at 12 pm.
